The Nightingale-Bamford School seeks an experienced and innovative teacher to join our Science Department to teach in the middle school on a full-time basis for the academic year 2025-2026.

This position will focus on teaching middle school science, particularly grades VII and VIII. 

The curriculum will include an overview of Earth Science and an introduction to Physical and Chemical Sciences. This individual will collaborate with departmental colleagues to support the K-XII spiraling science program and work on curriculum development as needed. In addition, attending faculty meetings and supporting the larger school community in a variety of ways is required. 

This role reports directly to the head of the science department and the head of middle school and is a full-time, exempt position that starts on August 25, 2025.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in education or science.
  • At least three years or more of middle school teaching experience
  • Understanding or growing knowledge of competency-based teaching and learning
  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with all levels of constituents
  • Excellent time-management skills. 

SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $100,000 commensurate with experience
